Join Coach Steve and Fleet Feet Laguna Niguel for the Summer 2026 Speed and Power Session. Enjoy the camaraderie of training with a team. Gain some speed and get after those Personal Bests.

Program Details

Join us for 8 weeks of training starting the week of June 15, 2026
-
Custom group training program designed to increase your speed and power for a faster 5K to 10K.

3 Team Training Runs per week
-
Tuesday 6:15 PM @ various locations for hill, track, and tempo workouts. Locations will be clearly communicated in advance weekly.

Thursday 5:45 PM @ Fleet Feet Laguna Niguel Store (Tempo/Easy Run and Mobility)

Saturday 7:30 AM @ Fleet Feet Laguna Niguel Store to join the Community Run

Includes strength training and mobility exercises for injury prevention

All running paces and experience levels welcome

Amazing team of run mentors to support you during the workouts

Receive annual racing team shirt (one given per year)

A typical Tuesday group workout will look like the agenda below (changes depending on our focus):

6:00 PM Arrival and White Board Talk
-
Explanation of the workout (keys aspects to focus on in terms of form and effort)

Explanation of the WHY behind the workout, this answers the question What is this doing for me and my running?

6:05 PM Warm up run (laps or timed easy effort run)

6:15 PM Dynamic Warm Ups and/or Running Form Drills

6:25 PM Prescribed Running Workout

7:00 PM Strength Training Session

Moving from Isometric to Plyometric body weight exercises to prevent injury and strengthen both primary and ancillary running muscles.

Racing Schedule (Optional but they are fun so HIGHLY RECOMMENDED):

Choose from the July 4th Run in the park, Coveathlon or any local 5 or 10K
